Mystic Rowboat
As soon as I started focusing on this boat, I knew I had a subject. Even after the film was developed and I was scanning the negative into my computer, I knew it'd make a great picture. But it didn't. The background was a walkway that cut through the picture, the colors were off, and it just didn't look write.

I decided to paint my way out of the problem. I built a wall behind the boat (in pixels, not stone), refined the color, and, finally, it all seemed much more like what I wanted. If you want to see a closer view of the painting effects, look below:
