It's possible to take an image out of time using digital techniques. The following images were taken in the late 1980s and early 1990s, yet they appear to be much, much older. In truth, the original images, taken in color, were less than stellar. But by careful cropping, removal of power lines and other distractions, and then colorizing in a sepia-like duotone, a wonderful series of images was created.
When completed, each image was printed at 5x7 inches, and mounted, one above the other, in a tall, thin frame. |
